My work explores the threshold between what is seen and what is sensed — between body and landscape, presence and disappearance, memory and perception.
In my current body of work, Nocturnal Bodies, figures emerge from darkness without becoming fully resolved. Forms dissolve, edges blur, and fragments of the body move between recognition and uncertainty. What is visible is partial; what is withheld remains active.
Rather than describing a specific emotion or individual, these works explore the moment before experience becomes fully named. The figure becomes a psychological and perceptual space — something encountered gradually through fragments, atmosphere and absence.
I am interested in the way the eye searches and the mind completes what it cannot fully see. Darkness is not simply a background, but an active space in which perception shifts and subtle forms surface.
