ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Nowadays" is painted with acrylic on canvas on stretcher. A frame is not necessary, because the edges are painted as well. My works are all structured, with hard edges, mostly geometric. Clear structure is the setting for me, to let my emotions or chance decide the colors. I do not work with sketches, the painting is created while painting. When I started "Nowadays", I decided that pink and brown should be in it. That was my starting point. It was only after I finished it that I realized that world events in March 2022 had unconsciously influenced the painting process. But I am sure that the painting will evoke different feelings in every viewer, because people’s reactions to colors and the way they are composed are very different.
