About The Artwork

The above fine art oil painting was created using professional quality oil paints on stretched canvas . This oil painting artwork is complemented in an ornate timber frame that has a wire across the back ensuring that it is ready to hang. The many hours spent strolling along this magnificent beach inspired each and every brush stroke of this premium oil on canvas. I am constantly amazed just how beautiful this coastline is and I believe this Australian seascape is my testimony to this beauty. The pastel colours used in this seascape oil painting -along with the gentle brush strokes picturing the surf breaking along the shoreline - bring this beach artwork to life. The low tide of early morning was realistically portrayed in this fine art oil painting. One can almost feel the soft cool water between one's toes. The rocks and hills in the near foreground draw the viewer's attention with their darker colours and engrained details. The finished artwork was well worth the many weeks that I lovingly spent on it. I am very proud of this painting. The bright colours and ornate frame will indeed illuminate the chosen location for the buyer and provide much pleasure.

I was born in Coventry, England and migrated with my family to Australia when I was 8 years old. I graduated from Southern Cross University completing Social Science and Counselling Post Graduate Degrees. This was my chosen career till retirement a short while ago. This decision to retire gave me the opportunity to follow my lifelong passion of being able to create. I have decided to paint Australian Landscape and Seascape in oil paints on stretched canvas. I also enjoy the simplicity of watercolor painting in abstract and landscape techniques. I have completed an online art course under Dan Scott and take advantage over any other study I can afford. I thrive of learning and believe that the journey of an artist is indeed a life long one.
