This Australian Seascape Oil Painting on canvas was inspired by the many hours that my family and I enjoyed strolling along this beautiful beach. I chose oil paints to create this beach artwork in gentle pastel colours for the sun setting in the western sky - as for me only oil paints can achieve. The dark cliffs in the mid-foreground draw the viewer's attention and are a welcome contrast to the gentler pastel colours of the sky and beach waters in this coastal painting. This medium sized seascape painting's gentle pastel colours are complemented with its professionally crafted and mounted ornate/external frame. When painting this coastal artwork I had in mind the hope that viewers will appreciate again Australia's natural beauty with me and take this painting home as a lasting treasure. Each brush stroke took me back to this beloved beach and brought back memories of me paddling in the shallow waters - pictured here with its surf breaking gently on the cliffs.
