On the one hand Painting

I have been thinking about all the different species on the planet that are in danger of becoming extinct, how do we protect them? How can we live in a way that does the lease damage to their habitats. The painting is called on the one hand because the woman in the painting has Snakes heads To where her hands should be each snake is whispering in the woman’s ear telling a different story. The painting talks of the human difficulty in navigating our way through life. The painting was initially drawn with ink then worked over with oils and scratched into creating texture. I think it has a dreamlike quality and the two snakes could represent any dilemma faced by anyone. The painting has an oak frame which is untreated.
