Art Description

Painting: Pencil, Acrylic and Ink on Cardboard.

This tiny beautiful orchid was just discovered in year 2001. It is native to Ecuador and Colombia and is an epiphytic plant. The name of the genus refers to the proximity of the specie to the Cauca Valley, where the type specimen was found. My illustration of this orchid is part of a book that I am planning to publish later this year.
