About The Artwork
Casein, plaster and goache on heavy linen canvas, ending with 5 coats of matte uv varnish. . Inspired by branching forms of a shrub in winter, it began as a tightly-knit group of branches. The painting evolved into a complicated series of lines, created with various brushes. The idea/feeling I hope viewers will come away with is that even though the world is a complicated place, we can hope for an underlying order.
