About The Artwork

Ouroboros is part of my Mixed Media series about mythological creatures. In this series I mainly use pencil on black acrylic, highlighting the contrast between the shimmering graphite and matte darkness of the black background. The delicate lines of graphite seem to emerge out of the vastness of space, echoing the unspeakable mysteries of timelessness. The serpent or dragon that bites its own tail is an archetypal symbol originating in ancient Egypt that later entered western mythology and symbolism via Greek iconography and was an important symbol in the alchemical tradition. Nowadays it can act as a reminder to the infinite nature behind all life.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I strive to understand and create understanding of the ever changing world we live in through the medium of different visual imagery. Recurring themes are futuristic as well as forgotten paradises, utopia, work as well as change/processes. Technically I love mixing analogue and digital, old and new, traditional and experimental techniques. I do commissions and work on independent projects in Berlin and in other places, too :)
