About The Artwork

Out to Dry took inspiration from wandering the narrow windy back streets in Chefchaouen, Morroco which is also known as the blue city. Coming across a washing line strung up in the street, the bold colours of the garments stood out against the bright blue backdrop of the houses. Acrylic painted on large stretched canvas, 100 x 100cm

New, up and coming Bristol artist Danielle Neill seeks to bring more colour and happiness into your everyday. Her work is an explosion of energy inspired mainly by the Abstract Expressionism movement. Danielle originally trained as a textile designer after studying Textile Design at Bath Spa University in 2013. After graduating she worked for a fashion print studio in London, before moving back to the West Country to pursue her passion for painting. Danielle works in an acrylic medium applying the paint onto the canvas with a mixture of brushes, sponges and even her own hands. Her work is inspired by photographs and sketches she captures on holiday, taking in the visual delights of a new place and translating it onto the canvas.
