About The Artwork
My paintings present the viewer with opportunities to awaken to the beauty of the human experience through ordinary passing moments. Whether quick and fleeting, or slow and contemplative, these passing moments have the power to snap us out of the trance of thought and present life as it is. Each image is both an act of devotion and a meditation. This image shows an overpass in San Francisco close to the Design District, which has long appealed to me aesthetically. The imposing presence of the structure is balanced by its graceful arc, the curvature of which has been designed to allow cars to turn safely at speed.
