Original Acrylic Painting called "PERSPECTIVE", of a girl with wings against abstract textured clouds.

Clouds are made of textured white paste.

Gold oil marker splattered on it painting.

This piece is inspired by mental illness and how you don't really know what someone is going through, especially behind closed doors. It's called perspective because if you look at the painting, you can see two different things. A girl sitting curled up holding her knees facing us or her back against us with her arms extended. We all have our own views on situations but no matter what, I believe we should all keep an open mind to see other perspectives and not just your own.

Pandora Owl was born and raised outside of Toronto, Ontario. Started her journey, building a career in advertising until she decided to make a leap into following her art passion. Her art focuses on mental health & illness in order to help comfort those who suffer from it as well as exposing it to those who don’t. She leverages mixed media in order to tell her stories, often referencing her youth by incorporating items such as comics and or toys; a style she developed in her art class back in high school. Her textured mixed media art has many layers that can be seen and felt but most importantly ignite and continue the conversation of mental health as it’s increasingly making its way to the forefront.
