PONGA Painting

Born in 1942, New York, NY. I live in New York City and frequently travel to parts of the world I have never been to, and lately I have been spending time in Sydney, Australia.

My paintings are the result of a process in which are incorporated elements
of design on a two dimensional plane culminating in a choreography of
shapes on a white field creating a dance. These shapes have been
influenced by my travels all over the world, South America, Europe,
Africa,Asia and Australia. As a pictorial choreographer of flat shapes on a
two dimensional plane, These shapes must be interesting, move, and
excite the viewer, incorporating a plasticity and complexity, that
allows the viewer to see something new each time that one sees the
canvas.
