Paella with Sauerkraut I/7 Painting

The series "PAELLA with CHUCRUTE" is a colloquium of the visual artist, graphic artist and professor of Aesthetics and History of Art Newton Scheufler with the imaginary and conceptual universe of the Spanish artist Antoni Tàpies (* Barcelona, 1923 / + Barcelona, 2012). This colloquy manifests itself in the form of collages and paintings, an object book and fine art prints. These are not re-readings or interpretations, but rather the use of elements of the repertoire of painting - calligraphy, materiality, graphics, text, assemblage, gesture, painting, art povera - in the construction of works that seek to understand the structure of the plastic design of Tàpies and use this understanding in the production of other works that have their own significant nature.
