I strive to express the natural light of stormy skies and peaceful seas. My artistic approach is rooted in this pursuit, with the landscapes I paint immersing me in a world of sensory escape. With a background in advertising, I conceive my painting like a slogan: it grabs and immediately holds your attention. My sources of inspiration include Jackson Pollock, Turner, and Escher. Although I have training from a design school, I have been painting as a self-taught artist for twenty years. My professional experience has led to constant work with imagery in the digital world. My first exhibited works date back to the 2000s, blending abstraction and figuration by combining oil and acrylic paints. I joined the Tsenka gallery in Paris, exhibiting paintings on canvas and wood, as well as in various other Parisian venues. Today, I show my work at different art events, mainly in the Pays de la Loire region. My admiration for the atmospheres and colors of the seashores that inspire me so much led me to settle in Vendée. I have replaced the abstract, highly stylized “action painting” style with a more controlled pictorial approach, characterized by a free and realistic interpretation of nature. Forms and figures have become more realistic and gained a more human dimension, thus providing anchor points for the viewer, allowing them to make the depicted places their own and travel within the vast spaces swept by the winds of the seashore.
