ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I am most happy and fulfilled when I’m creating. I find the best ideas and concepts come to me when my mind flows organically without mental barriers. Depending on the mood, energy and atmosphere during the creative process, each piece reflects the emotions I’m feeling at the moment in time. Cameras capture moments in photo, my acrylic pour is a visual representation of that moment captured on a canvas. I pour my heart out in every piece so each painting will never have a duplicate. My style is about “going with the flow,” but I’m obsessed with creating visual balance. These free flowing, acrylic pour works bring the viewer into different relaxing dimensions. Some enjoy the comfortable warm feeling of water inspired works whereas others like the borderless feeling of space. Either way, all enjoy seeing their own voyage through my visions. You’ll see certain elements in each piece is serene yet chaotic, loose yet intense. Depending on who, what and where you’re viewing the painting, it evokes different emotions and interpretation. You can find my work at my Costa Mesa studio, City Hall, universities, public/private corporations, small businesses and homes, domestically and internationally.

I've been blessed by having the opportunity to travel, for work and pleasure, to 50+ countries and experience the global diversity in cultures, art and cuisine. Philosophically, I feel compelled to share these experiences to the world by creating a series of companies around inspiration beginning with my first business, Inspired Art Wine (IAW), an art studio, wine bar and gallery based out of Costa Mesa, CA. Since 2016, I’ve taught close to 12,000 students at my studio across various mediums: acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. My own personal work primarily focuses on modern contemporary fluid artwork. Beyond brushes, I love experimenting with non-traditional tools including, but not limited to: business cards, corks, forks and dental floss. I am most inspired when my mind flows organically without mental barriers. My artwork is meant to transport the viewer into various emotional response using innovative color combinations and movements inspired by water. My style is about “going with the flow,” but I’m obsessed with creating visual balance. These free flowing, acrylic pour works bring the viewer into different relaxing dimensions. Some enjoy the comfortable warm feeling of water-inspired works whereas others like the borderless feeling of space. Either way, all enjoy seeing their own voyage through my visions. You’ll see certain elements in each piece is serene yet chaotic, loose yet intense. My goal in every piece is make it timeless, gender, racial and cultural agnostic so that each visual creation evokes various emotions to the viewer. The outcome is always an individual piece that celebrates beauty of nature. Pour Fine Art (PFA) is an extension of myself and represent my two passions: art and wine. The level of creative energy I pour into my paintings, I also pour that passion into winemaking. As an artist and vintner, I produced a collection of art-inspired wine from Napa Valley. Each of the wine label is a varnished print and named after a place from my motherland, Vietnam. To learn more about my wine journey, visit:
