Peacocks and peahens early misty morning Painting

I spotted this muster of peafowl in my backyard early one foggy/misty morning. It was a surprise because 1.) since I had just relocated to this area, I didn't know they were neighbors. And 2.) I didn't know they could fly. I rushed to get my camera and when I opened the door I, unfortunately, startled them. Turns out that all was not lost though, I did manage to snap this image of one in mid-flight heading towards the sunrise in the mist. It was quite a treat to see these beautiful almost mystical in appearance, birds. Their true residence is on a farm just across the street. The "music" that played in the background while painting this picture was the sound of their distinct calls. 12 x 20 in. oil on canvas. Heavy duty 1-inch stretcher bars. High-quality oils.
