Perspective Painting

This piece was the very first of my collection. At this point in time it felt like I was alone. I wanted to describe my life experience without words or obvious draws. So I painted how I felt. Perspective was born out of a place of perceived isolation. Being the main character in a story that I felt all consumed by. This painting is a reminder that though you may not feel it or see it, there are many supporting characters in your story. Some are more pronounced than others, calmer than others, more rigid than others, at the forefront and not the latter of your story. The antithesis of true isolation. The deep blackness of this painting highlights the depth of these feelings at time and perceived bleakness. This painting truly comes alive in direct overhead lighting to highlight the many texture variations.
