Picasso was no stranger to masquerade. He had a whole collection of costumes that were given to him by the torero, and this headdress of the leader of the American Indians was presented to him by the famous Gary Cooper. Photo by David Douglas Duncan When I saw this photo of Picasso in the image of the Indian Chief, I immediately wanted to create my own version, of how he came up with the famous symbol - Dove of Peace.

Andrew Khalturin is a Ukrainian painter who was awarded with the Medal of the Ukrainian Culture Fund for his achievements and contributions to art and culture. He credits the creation of his ‘first real work’ to a self-portrait made in 1989. Since then, he has continued working with people, painting their portraits. Khalturin’s realistic, figurative, and still life compositions are made using oils on canvas.
