About The Artwork
Nature inspired this work. Laying in the sand surrounded by plants and watching the sunset with it's warm hues of golden, orange and reds through the Pingao (native NZ grass, pronounced Pinau) above the Ocean. The work has a cool feel on the first sight, but when you look close you can see the warmth extruding out. The glass works are hard to photograph, but I hope you can see it on the close ups. Painted glass on aluminium and finished with anthracite grout, to connect the glass panels. The hanging system is attached, it is stainless steel wire.
