Technique and materials used: Oil, beeswax, pure pigments, row canvases prepare with acrylics and wood frames bolted together. A detailed description of the work: "Pizza Planet is the pizza we all like and cannot stop eating". This artwork is a critique of our consumer behaviour and how this same behaviour is destroying our planet. When will we stop consuming our world? In ancient Greece, where champions were crowned with olive branches, this tree represented power transfer; kings and emperors were anointed with olive oil. Since the time of Noah, when a dove brought an olive branch, it has meant peace. Symbolizing strength and vigour, the stick of Hercules was an olive trunk, and Christ was trapped on the Mount of Olives and nailed to an olive wood cross. The Romans spread that knowledge and then handed us the pizza. Regardless of what people may think, the United Nations is a copy of this culinary and cultural heritage; I wanted to represent the flag of the United Nations map as a planetary pizza with my artwork. Pizza Planet is a dish we all eat, cut into meridians and seasoned with parallel red sauce and continental salami. We cannot stop eating it, and so much is our desire to keep doing it that we are about to finish it. Once this happens, we will erase all our history without allowing future generations to enjoy the wonders of our Earth. To make my wishes come true, I put on a watch that rotates counterclockwise so that time goes back and, along with it, everything that we have eaten from this dish. I want whoever sees my work to stop to reflect and think, "do I want to eat the whole planet? Or do I want to protect it and rebuild it so that our future generations can also enjoy it?". What do you want? This is our "Pizza Planet", and the rest is in our hands.

My name is Federico García, and I was born in Venezuela in 1965. I studied at the Arturo Michelena School of Fine Arts in Valencia, Venezuela, 1970. My love for nature made me study agriculture at the Jesuit technical school; with it, I became interested in photography of the environment. During my trips around the world, I made photographic albums on the life of different cultures. As a photographer, I worked for the UN. We created a project called Artists of Peace, and it sought to encourage peace through art, in this, I found part of my inspiration for the creation of artistic works with transcendental messages, intending to instil a collective conscience for the peace of humanity and the well-being of the environment. Due to the political situation of Venezuela, we had to emigrate. I have been able to learn many valuable lessons that I want to transmit through my work, which I'm currently carrying out in the heart of Cheltenham, Uk. The current evolution of my work it's based on the union of multiple stone-shaped frames, conforming a three-dimensional texture of a solid wall, where I present my oils as graffitis with transcendental themes linked to our human existence, combining the duality of good and bad, known or to be known. I want to create with my style, the crack that breaks that old mental dam and make people's ideas flow out of the square box. No line resists the curvature of the Universe.
