Plant Cells - Abstract Study 4 Painting

This painting is the fourth of an ongoing series looking at the formation of plant cells. Ben is inspired by the micro world, researching patterns to generate. He's not interested in recreating what lies before him, but his own versions following the fundamental rules but leaving room for mutations. This organic process generates an evolution within the paintings, mistakes and errors bleed into following works or are noted and discarded. By exploring the beautifully complex yet startlingly simple microscopic world he is on course to grow his own painted world. This series is set to evolve, mutate and grow the deeper he explores.
