This image is taken from a screenshot I made during a Chernobyl "visit" on the internet via Google Maps. Chernobyl is a strong symbol of our time, a warning that we seem not to want to hear. The answer to the evils of humanity is always: technology. Technology wants energy. Chernobyl is the first contemporary archaeological site destroyed by the hand of man, thanks to his intelligence, his ability to invent, the vestige of a civilization executed by its need for energy, a sort of nuclear Easter Island, a story that repeats itself exponentially. This work is significant of my current work, my interest in the damaged things that tell us the story of Man, these artifacts impregnated with the passage of lives, an aesthetics resulting from the destruction, the poetry due to the wear of the time. This work stems from a series started in early 2018 starting with "tree houses", my vision of a middle class, often young, educated and its paradoxes. I used these colors, at once: gay, strange, sinister, not realistic to express the invisible, which is the main presence in Chernobyl today.

I am a polymorphous artist, if painting is my favorite medium, I also use other media at my disposal: drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture and video where music is present. Each work is approached done by an intellectual and plastic reflection, photos, sketches, notes, the result is a model of the desired plastic image, realized on Photoshop. The execution is mainly done in acrylic or oil. My work is strongly steeped in my Corsican origins, the wild waste dumps, the abandoned villages, the ruins, the invading scrub, the dust of the summer, theses images are strongly printed in my unconscious, but also the exile, the departure and the return, which characterizes us the Corsicans. My works today are mostly urban landscapes drawn from television, photographic imagery, my travels and Google Maps. I do a research work, a kind of inventory of our human society with my particular vision. My work reflects the noisy and uncertain silence of our time, I question my contemporaries about our paradoxes our choices of life for the future, by submitting images of the past or present imprinted with human presence. These images are most often related to childhood, hopes born in childhood and disillusionment of adulthood.
