All about colours and interactions between shapes, this series came about as playful exercises into finding interesting compositions. Contact us.I am a Polish mixed-media artist based near Villaviciosa in Asturias, Spain. My go-to media for paintings is a mixture of acrylics and pastels.
My work moves between figurative and landscape abstraction. I think of it as a response to something alive, to things that are always changing and never fixed. I don’t see the landscape as something to be copied, nor the figure as something to be simply described; both are experienced as events shaped by rhythm and movement, and coloured by our emotions.
I grew up close to nature and think of my painted and drawn lines as threads and fibres, veins and roots, feeding and defining the boundaries of colour, and together, they describe an inner life, memories and connections.
Each painting can be thought of almost like a conversation. As I work on a piece, whilst I usually have an overall concept that I'd like to express, the details and the manner in which that idea is expressed is often only discovered whilst I'm actually working on it.
