If we could connect somehow with a reallly old tree, everytime we stand in front of it, a lifetime wouldn't be enough to listen to his long story. That really old tree is the testimony of our passing through time. It stays motionless and it points it's body towards the donads (clouds), obstinating to pierce the height, thrusting it's roots into the calling of the depth, waiting the time to shake it's ephemeral over it. It bowed under the times, but never broked, it froze but never died, the heat burned it''s body but never dried it's life. The centurial wisdom of verticality runs through it. At it's shadow you can live a way of refuge, of gathering, of balance, it is the muse of many poets and painters. That's why everytime when I am around a centennial tree, I find another way of being, that makes me realize the imaginative potential dimensions and it leads me to my own olastic solutions of surface. In one of his writings, Heggel mentioned that artistic inspiration ''only means that you become one with your subject, that you are present in it, and you must not calm down until the artistic shape wasn't poured and rounded in it''. After a number of sketches, I have traced a shape that, from my point of view, covers my searches, giving me plastic solutions in perspective. This shape, I've tried to express it much simpler, trough simple technical ways; I felt the need to analyze the writing not only as a content but also as a plastic sign - used through out the history. My composition unfolds vertically, the shapes and archaic images I have studied are static organized; I have tried to imprint a tectonic, monolitic structure. I've tried to solve textures, transparences, value proportions, alternating transparent touches vibrated with flat patch, using collage and frontage from the surrealistic techniques. I've considered that a palette of ochres, browns, greens and blacks, similar to the ones used in ancient times, that were restricted to the mineral and organic substance, advantages me for my plastic solution. I consider this work a beginning, the perspective of a personal path and a private work lab.
