Carole Bressan paints landscapes… the landscape, as a field of observation: Emotional territory, need and necessity: a place of musicality suitable for intimate and spontaneous writing. Produced almost entirely flat, Carole Bressan's canvases depend on multiple drying stages. The canvases are pre-coated, then the artist navigates on and between the asperities and the reliefs in flat, or with a knife, and with the help in particular of colored juices which offer many possibilities of transparencies, effects of filters and superposition... "To meet" a landscape is to make resonate in oneself, memories, affects and dreams, it is to offer oneself the possibility of vast plans of connection. "
