"Pomegranate and Red Wine" Painting

I am a visual artist born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and I have lived and worked in Montenegro since 2016. I began my formal art education at GHSH, Saint Petersburg’s historic watercolor school, and later graduated in Design, Decorative and Applied Arts from Herzen State Pedagogical University.

My professional background includes design, book illustration, mural painting, and art education. I also contributed to the creation of an interactive museum for children at the Childhood Foundation and taught painting to young artists.

My artistic practice has developed through continuous exploration of watercolor, pastel, oil pastel, and experimental techniques. In 2013, my watercolor “Plyos, Before the Storm” received First Prize in the Watercolor Avant-Garde category at Art Week in Italy in Venice, as well as an award at St. Petersburg Art Week.

After moving to Montenegro, I developed the series “Montenegro on Black,” creating expressive coastal landscapes in pastel and oil pastel on black paper. The series was presented in solo exhibitions at City Gallery Kotor in 2021, the Museum and Gallery of Tivat in 2022, and the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” in Kotor in 2022, accompanied by a concert by composer Vitaly Bliznyuk.

In my recent work, I have returned to watercolor, exploring Mediterranean light and the poetic qualities of everyday spaces. My series “Window into the Courtyard” was presented in solo exhibitions in Bijelo Polje and Mojkovac in 2025.

My work brings together tradition and experimentation, moving from transparent watercolor and expressive pastel to Chinese mineral pigments on rice paper and mixed-media processes. Inspired by Montenegro’s landscapes, architecture, and cultural heritage, I explore the relationship between nature, urban space, memory, and intimate human experience. I have been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro (ULUCG) since 2026.
