Pools Series, "Reflections 1" Copyright 2016: Kati Bujna 48" x 2" x 48" Acrylics and gels on stretched canvas. We have an in-ground pool that I call "big blue". Its changing reflections and moods mesmerize and enchants me every year. I have the same enchantment with water from the Caribbean to Ontario rivers to melting snow puddles. I've documented and studied water ripples, refracting light and how it creates fractal portraits of colours and hilariously distorted body parts. The water frees and heals our emotions and soothes our physical bodies. My belief that true happiness and harmony in the outside world begins by loving and accepting one's self first. My studios and clients' homes display my big colourful paintings and harmonize with their modern interior styles. They tell me my paintings make them happy. This painting uses premium materials including Golden Acrylic Liquid paints, charcoal and graphite, and is painted on premium, gallery style canvas. Please note this will ship in a box NOT a crate. We ship using UPS approved art boxes from Uline, with art wrapped in bubble wrap and other protective materials. Kati Bujna, fine artist - studied in traditional and contemporary multimedia. Kati is influenced most by artists of the early 20th century cubist and expressionist movement. O’Keefe, Kandinsky, Carr, Klimt and Picasso, as well as contemporary street artists. The main thread in Kati's work is strong layers of colour and expressive line work, and situational use of representational and abstract figures, motifs and shapes.
