My Artistname is GerTa, and I am a self-taught artist. From a young age, I was drawn to art, though I never received formal training in the field. My first steps in drawing began with simple sketches in school notebooks and sketchpads. Each drawing was an opportunity for me to express my thoughts and emotions on paper. As a child and teenager, I participated in art exhibitions and even placed among the winners. As the years went by, my passion for art only grew stronger. I learned by observing the world around me, studying the works of famous artists, and experimenting with different techniques. The internet became my primary teacher: I watched tutorials, read articles, and explored books on painting, graphic design and history of art. I’ve always enjoyed trying new things, from watercolor to digital art. Through this process, I developed my own style, which combines elements of realism and abstraction. For me, it’s important to convey not only external beauty but also deep emotional states in my work. I find inspiration in everyday life, nature, music, and people. Often, my works reflect personal experiences and inner journeys. I believe that art is a powerful way to communicate without words, and I strive to let my pieces speak for themselves. As a self-taught artist, I take pride in the fact that I’ve navigated this path on my own.
