About The Artwork
Portrait of a Chameleon was done with artist quality Winsor and Newton oil paints on Gessoed illustration board. Under Painted over a detailed pencil study with burnt Umber acrylics in the style of Rubens, I allowed some of the brown to show through the thicker Impasto layers of Lead white. This warms up the cool green dominating the piece. A silver-grey frame will be included
