About The Artwork
One of a series of views across the rooftops of Mala strana (Lesser Town) in Prague, towards the Charles Bridge and Old Town. I was interested in how the repeating shapes of the Gothic towers and spires give a strong sense of spatial recession. In contrast to the medieval architecture of the city centre, the tallest tower on the horizon (one third from the left) is the communist era TV tower in Žižkov.
