About The Artwork
Prelude to Naked is a 24” x 36” acrylic painting on stretched canvas and is gallery wrapped. This painting is a symbolic work, telling the story in which my work ‘Naked’ was created. The tiger in this piece symbolizes a woman, guarding her territory. This painting was also inspired by a textile pattern and was quite challenging creating from fabric. I hope the viewers will feel as though they are the tiger, or that she will protect them. I chose this subject matter due to my obsession with the textile pattern it arose from and the symbolic nature of the tiger.
