About The Artwork
This was a result of too much time watching Bob Ross during quarantine. I've always painted with acrylic, but I really wanted to try oil as my medium instead. I took notes and found something simple, but pretty, to start with. I adore the way it turned out! My youngest son says it's his favorite =) I named it 'Premiere' since it was my first oil. Also, my son was taking french class at the time, so why not? I feel a sense of peace when looking at it. The texture of the oil and how it slightly glistens somewhat captivates me. Purple is also my favorite color, which I'm sure you will notice throughout my works. I hope you enjoy!

About me? I am a single mother, trying to do the best I can. I have birthed four beautiful boys, 3 are living. Since my oldest committed suicide I have been trying to acclimate to life again. It's the same; but it isn't.... I have struggled my entire life to fit into boxes with impossible standards. I have had no formal art education; maybe someday. For now I am just painting what I know, and picking up along the way. Painting to me is an outlet, not a means for survival. While I dance across the line of life and spirituality, I embrace every moment. God is the only reason I have come as far in life as I have; I am the reason I have not gone as far as I could... I am thankful for every view I get, every 'pat on the back' I receive, every critique. I feel that art is ever moving, ever breathing, ever changing. Evolving as the times change.
