Primary Stripes Painting

The exploration of colors is a constant inspiration. I try to visit primary colors harmony regularly and find a new balance. Sometimes, trying to change the shapes, and proportions or create an optical illusion. In this work, primary stripes, I Used reclaimed wood and MDF, I try my best to have a sustainable practice and often use found materials, leftovers, and cutouts. The different geometric shapes I have been creating over the years always bring me back to basic shapes such as a square, a circle, and a Triangle. The diversity of interpretation of each geometric shape is infinite and colors give me perspective to keep on this research. In terms of colors, I chose to work with the primary colors and added color field for each. I decomposed the colors into 5 palettes for each, tint, hue, and tone. I built a 3 dimensions painting, that can also be seen as a sculpture, eternal question. Within the pyramid, I wanted to reunite these basic geometric shapes, and elaborate with a herringbone pattern, to develop the optical illusion by using both values of shapes and colors. The Tricks in this wall sculpture suggest all the basic shapes and also distract from the original shape. Therefore, the viewer will first see a diamond, a square, and circles and the stripes will create a rhythm, as ripples to give a different approach to colors.
