Indian mythologies and scriptures say that the universe itself was born of a primeval seed. The inner workings of a seed, however much the science of biology explicates, continues to hold the imagination in awe. The small oval seeds in this canvas depict seeds, and the bigger ones symbolize the ability of seeds to hold within them expressions that will take their own course towards new seeds and multitudes of forms decided by chance and choice. Every seed embodies a primeval pulse for us humans.
