About The Artwork
An ancient dried up lake in far west New South Wales has, over time, created an alien world. The sediment of the 14,000 year old dried lake has blown up onto itself and created sand dunes 50 meters high. Upon these sand dunes the wind has continued to push the grains of sand into absurd sun hardened mounds. Along with the rain these solid shapes stand as amazing figures in the landscape of sand on sand.
