One day I thinned out a cluster of exotic plants at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. The painting evokes the feeling of being hot and sweaty and encased in the love embrace of plants. The face of the Girl is from my imagination, the hat is mine. The painting is many rich layers of crayon, pastel, watercolor and encaustic wax on a cradled birch panel, ready to hang.
