About The Artwork

The depiction of Radha and Krishna has many a mystical symbolism associated with it - one is of the individual being's eternal yearning for awakening. And Krishna's flute is the symbol of Pranava - the cosmic sound that created this universe. This is the flute which enchanted the maiden of Vrindavan - Radha, The power of creation is expressed through the melodies coming from his flute. The music from the flute as an act of creation and as he plays his mellifluous tunes to Radha, he to believed to put this universe into motion. The consciousness of Krishna is expresses everywhere like the music coming from the flute being played - the flute is symbolic of the heart of the human being - a heart that needs to be made hollow for it to become like a hollow reed flute into which Krishna can play his divine melodies upon. When the heart is not empty, in other words, when there is not scope in the heart, there is no place for love. Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya !

About R. P. Singh Painting is a kind of meditation for me , time to be with myself and my thoughts . When I put a pure new canvas on my easel there is that moment when I feel everything is within my power. The first brush strokes helps me to use my eyes and emotions instead of my mind. The connection between my soul and light, or shape , or composition and colours is more important than actually subjects of my works. For me the moment is very powerful. It requires expression and feelings , rather than rationalism and planning . The moment is my inspiration .
