About The Artwork
I approached this painting from a different perspective than usual, although the companion painting (Plus/Minus) was also approached in this way. I began with the polarity, which is emphasized by its relief form, and painted circles of energy fields around the forms. In this painting I began with a color and painted circles around each polarity in that color. Then I chose another color and did the same, etc, etc. There a many layers in this painting, layers of circular energy fields around each image. The result is a very dense painting which is reflected in its weight! Built up relief images.
