About The Artwork
This painting is inspired by the way the natural landscapes are changing due to climate change. Specifically, I examined the record low snow fall on the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California recently. I wanted to emulate the way the mountain range appeared from overhead and imitated this landscape as such. I used recycled plastic bags as the base and texture for the piece as a way of connecting our waste and the plastic issue with the changing natural world.
