Hello! My name is Katrin Rymsha, I am an artist from Russia. I was born in Novosibirsk. Childhood years were spent in close proximity to nature, observing the Siberian expanses, endless fields and meadows, and snow covers in winter. But the most vivid impression on me was the proximity of Gorny Altai. Every year we visit places of power and are charged with the energy of pristine nature and the power of mountain rivers. These are the brightest impressions from my childhood that prompted me to take up art. In 2002, I successfully graduated from the Novosibirsk State University of Architecture, Design and Arts, specializing as an artist of monumental and decorative art, department of ceramics. I have devoted many years to clay modeling. This is an amazing and invaluable experience in my life. And, of course, it was reflected in my painting. I love the texture, layering, depth and tactile feel of the work. In 2010 I moved to St. Petersburg. At first, she was carried away by classical art: for three years she studied academic painting at the private school "Art-Impress", spent a lot of time in museums looking at the paintings of outstanding artists. Paintings from this period are executed in the manner of academic realism with great skill and an interest in detail. Since 2015, I have been a participant in Russian and international exhibitions. In 2017, a personal exhibition took place in the Vskladchinu gallery. In 2018, for the first time, my works were presented abroad at the Crisolart gallery in Barcelona, Spain. In 2019 i joined the Union of Russian Artists. And to the present day I am actively involved in my creative work. The works of recent years have been executed in a free manner, they tend more towards abstraction. But this is not an invented reality, but a reflection of the real picture of the world through the subjective emotional mirror of my soul. It is as if you are talking about things that are well known and close to you, but not through drawing and narration, but sensually and emotionally with the help of a pictorial language - only color, texture and gesture. I still often turn to nature, paint sketches on the street, I like to draw psychological portraits and sketches from my contemporaries. My paintings are a sincere statement and experience of real life, which I want to share with the viewer.
