About The Artwork

In my paintings, Chinese characters are used as dots or lines in the picture. In the painting "Reflection", only one Chinese character appears: "景". "Jing" is the original character of "shadow". In the picture, the "scenery" and the curve form a "shadow". This painting is inspired by an ancient poem, let’s experience its artistic conception: 湖上人家住最幽,檐牙倒影落沧洲。 诗成梅坞三更月,酒醒蓬窗午夜秋。 移石为添烧药灶,卖金因起读书楼。 经年不入城闉去,长倚阑干看白鸥。 In English: The people on the lake live the most secluded, and the reflection of the eaves falls on Cangzhou. The poem becomes the third moon in Meiwu, and the wine wakes up at the window at midnight and autumn. Move stones to burn medicine stoves, and sell gold to start reading buildings. After years of not going to the city, I lean on the railing to watch the white gulls.
