This exceptional format lent itself well to the exclusively vertical gestures that I used to create the effects of light. I used enough glaze medium to avoid an overly large wash effect. A widespread glow melts into soft transitions in the surrounding colors and shapes to give a misty atmosphere to the landscape. Halfway between the abstract and the figurative, this work presents an almost boreal aspect in its effects of light. I have deliberately preserved the brush strokes in this perspective, the representation of the light that falls like rain remaining a theme that obsesses me as much as silence and time, two concepts that I tried to combine to create an impression of absolute serenity. https://youtu.be/hzUlAYkr4h0
