ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a work from my Refugee series inspired by a photo of a Syrian refugee girl. She looks sad, she's been through a lot and she doesn't know what future to expect. For years I have been dealing with the refugee issue and I still have a lot of ideas. I am a big fan of Alex Katz and after finishing this work I recognized a great resemblance to one of his portraits.
