About The Artwork
This painting is inspired by Chris KILLIP, an excellent British photographer who died in 2020. His original photo was called "Youth on a Wall. Farrow, Tyneside". I worked two years in England at the end of he seventies and my painting was more inspired by urban scenes than the charming countryside. Life in the Midlands as well as the North wasn't easy. I lived in Hull and I can recollect many beautiful sad scenes back then. Food for my painting up to now.
