Painting, Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 30 W x 40 H x 1 D in
Ships in a Crate
Rendezvous is a beautiful acrylic painting that is based on a Parisian Cafe, also too that Paris was birthplace of Cubism and this is a Cubist expression. The colors in the painting are lively, jovial and reverberating. The women are having fun and sipping fine wine. There is a sense of fashion as well in this painting. The painting style has tones of pop art, contemporary and modern cubism. Just like Picasso paintings, here too the artist has applied the dual facial forms. If you notice parts of the painting are left white on canvas. This was a style the artist was experimenting in year 2015 to 2020. This painting is sold to a private collector in San Francisco, CA.

"It does not matter what you see, it matters how you see it." -Shourabh Mukherji aka TheModernCubist Shourabh Mukherji is a New Jersey based Contemporary Cubist painter and Board Member at the Center for Contemporary Arts. A self-taught artist whose works are inspired by masters such as Pablo Picasso, FN Souza and MF Hussain. The theme of the artist's work is to evoke vivid, raw and unadulterated emotions. It would be prudent to say that the artist speaks a language of eroticism, a much tantric vibe and one that is primal. Yes, there are no filters for "social adjustments" in the artist's manifestations. The deep emotions of desire and pleasures transcend the casual norms into a more spiritual transcendence through his art. The man and woman become equal participants in the amorous relationship. As Picasso would say- "All you can imagine is real", so are these art forms thus molding themselves and evolving higher realms of passion. The highlights in the artist's creations are distinct line work in black and use of bold colors- with minimal or no mixing. The style is a culmination of Geometric and Figurative Abstraction. The Artist has coined the term "Sculptural Cubism". A derivative of neo-Cubism style in red. Most of Shourabh's art is sold to private collectors in US and abroad. Shourabh has exhibit his work in solo and group exhibits in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. His paintings have appeared in Art Magazines in NYC and LA.
