The sea off Hove has a surprising variety of moods. In the summer, it is often still, flat, and emerald green. But sometimes a wind comes up and it turns blue and heaves restlessly. Back in 2014, I used to take my easle to the beach front to try capture the seas moods. This painting was a quick sketch done in acrylic on paper with a palette knife.
