"If you don’t like the weather right now, just wait five minutes," people sometimes say in Iceland. In this work I have tried to capture a fleeting scene I witnessed first hand while in Reykjavik. The clouds drifted down from the distant mountains and over the waters beyond the harbour. The cold air in Iceland has a particular quality to it unlike here in Britain, it is dry, seemingly without any moisture at all. This in turn has an effect on the light, creating mists that possess a unique translucence.
