About The Artwork

Painted in oil on a three-coated gessoed 20mm deep cradled wooden board. In an unpainted wooden floater frame. A painting of a derelict trawler high and dry on the beach at Dungeness, Kent. Unloved but still with a beauty all her own.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I'm a largely self-taught artist. Art classes for a while, learning the basics, before realising that the best way of learning to paint successfully is to study the work and methods of others, and by so doing building an individual style of one's own. A little bit of many artists, but an exact copy of none of them. I paint landscapes, transport art and occasionally abstract, floral and still life. Mainly painting in oil, soft pastel and coloured pencil. I hate to be tied down to just one discipline. I have been immensely influenced by the work of Sorolla, Turner, Robert Taylor, Malcolm Root, Robert Lloyd, Peter Barker, Graham Webber, Richard Schmid, and many others.
