In "Rhythmic Construction III (Pulse)," rhythm transforms into a tangible pulse. Miami based artist building Mythohuman across analog and AI. Work studies evidence, myth, and power. Built from survival with refusal, precision, and control. Maria Lankina is a multidisciplinary artist and creative director based in Miami. She builds Mythohuman, a living system of images, text, and sound that studies how pictures produce belief. The practice moves between analog archives and computational tools and treats each work as relic, transmission, and record. The work emerges from survival. Lankina lived through violence, neglect, and institutional indifference. The response is refusal, precision, and control. She uses rule sets, a codex of glyphs (⚘ //), and RELIC and Transmission indexing to keep continuity across media and time. Surfaces are resolved, light is directed, language is exact. The aim is coherence rather than spectacle. Research threads include archives, bureaucracy, migration, and the politics of evidence. Mythohuman can be engaged as objects and as system: paintings, drawings, prints, videos, and sound pieces, alongside the score like logic that binds them. Mission Statement I build Mythohuman, a long form artwork that asks what remains human when reality interoperates with its own simulation. The studio combines material processes with computational ones. Drawings, photographs, and physical studies feed prompt architecture and procedure. I direct outputs for composition, light behavior, surface noise, and physical readability so the work carries the charge of an artifact, not the look of an effect. Mythohuman began as a countermeasure to erasure. When no existing frame held my experience, I built one. The system operates as a living archive. Units of work are Transmissions, grouped into RELIC fields, indexed by a consistent language and glyph system. Each element is both artifact and incantation. Technology does not erase the sacred. It mutates it. Tools become vessels for translation. Intention passes through a machinic body and returns intimate and slightly alien. Themes include witness, authorship, bureaucracy, and the choreography of attention. The visual voice stays restrained and lucid. Clarity first. Institutions can collect the objects and, when appropriate, the underlying system as notation.
