About The Artwork

This is Cerro Los Pinos, the road that leads to the farm where we spent our holidays last summer passes next to it, and goes around it. Every year we admire it, as it is different from all the Precordillera around it, that consists of rounded low slopes. This summer I decided we must go trekking to the top. After convincing the rest of the family, we asked permission to the owner of that 'estancia' and we were able to get there. There's a steep climb at the higher end, but we got there, where a large iron cross was set by the owner many years ago when, after his three sons went to war in Europe, only two could come back. So this place has a deep history behind! I drew lots of fast sketches while travelling by car through this unfinished road, and I chose this drawing of Cerro Los Pinos to paint in my studio when I returned home.

I am moved by Nature since little, country and river landscapes where I spent long hours of my childhood, have attracted me since. They are my source of calmness, peace of spirit and contemplation, and connect me with their Creator. Married and mother of five children, I am a nature lover and observer. My style is figurative, sometimes more realistic, others expressive and even abstractive. My compositions are made up from field sketching, which I paint afterwards in my study where colour is the main character in the show.
